About Emir
Emir is a writer of fiction for adults and young adults. He writes suspenseful stories intended to keep you guessing at the intersection of mystery, horror, and magical realism. The great ones he tries to flatter through emulation include Stephen King, J.R.R. Tolkien, H.P. Lovecraft, Toni Morrison, Susanna Clarke, and Ursula K. Le Guin, among others.
Originally from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Emir has lived in Germany, Chicago, and the Boston area. He studied government at Harvard and developed the first draft of a novel while doing his MBA at the University of Chicago. Emir has ten years of experience strategy consulting for fortune five hundred industrial companies. He is an avid supporter of the Dallas Mavericks and New England sports teams. He lives in Boston with his wife and daughter.
